What others say
'You meet a lot of 'gunna's' out there... People who are gunna do this and gunna do that. 'Gunna walk across Australia', 'gunna save the world'. It's just how a lot of us are, I guess - all hot air and no action.
'Well Deanna Sorensen is one hell of an exception to that rule. Funnily enough, I reckon 'hot air' would have been something of a godsend in her case - had it not been blowing in the wrong direction! It might have helped propel her across this harsh and ancient land of ours!
'For 180 days she pushed against incessant head winds, literal and figurative ones, ultimately achieving her dream of crossing Australia alone and on foot. It was a remarkable achievement and 'Going the Distance' is nothing short of a blistering, inspirational read.'
